Meet Stacy

Thanks again for learning more about me and Will Daniel Wellness. I’d like to share with you a bit more about my background, both personally and professionally.

Mission

The Will Daniel Wellness motto is “Feel your zeal.” What do I mean by that? My focus is the zeal that comes from the robust health of your mind, body and spirit. The zeal I’m after is the one that makes you want to hop out of bed in the morning in addition to making you physically able to do so. It is the synergistic humming of all parts of your being. As do many of us, I came to coaching from personal experience. Mind-body medicine has had a significant impact on me personally in finding my zeal, and created a fire in my belly to bring that same zeal to others.

My goal in launching Will Daniel Wellness is purely this–to support you as my client on your journey to finding your zeal, whether that means following a specific food plan prescribed by your doctor, developing a fitness program that is meaningful to you, or even finding time to dedicate to self-care. I’ll join you on your journey, be your sounding board, your cheering section, and your thought partner as you venture along.

Qualifications

It’s important for me to share with you the ways in which I am prepared to support your journey. Below is a quick summary of my qualifications and experience:

Functional Medicine

I am trained and certified as a functional medicine health coach. This branch of wellness is focused on integrated health through, prevention, health approaches that involve mind, body, and spirit, the concept that each client and situation is unique. Functional medicine is “root cause” medicine, based on the belief that the cause of disease is often not a single factor. On the contrary, it may well incorporate mental, physical, nutritional, environmental, and/or other elements acting in concert.

From this lens, strategies for treating as well as preventing disease must be approached holistically–mind, body, and spirit. This is what my training enables me to do. While I am not able to diagnose or prescribe, I am well versed in functional medicine, functional nutrition, and positive psychology, allowing me to partner with my clients on their wellness journeys, whether the goal be self-care, a practitioner-prescribed nutritional plan, a fitness program, or something else entirely, help navigate through decision processes, and offer resources and info from a wellspring of functional wellness leaders.

Yoga

I have been a yoga practitioner for almost 25 years, and am also an RYT-200 certified instructor through the Yoga Alliance. My areas of focus are the connection of the breath to movement, the impact of a yoga practice on mental and emotional health, and the study of pranayama and meditation. I am also certified in mindful resilience training by the Veterans Yoga Project, a preparation that enables me to offer trauma-informed yoga to vets and others dealing with post-traumatic stress. I offer these services as Sunny Street Yoga, a separate company name under the Will Daniel Wellness umbrella.

Corporate Background

I have spent the last 20+ years in roles of increasing leadership within the operational management space for large corporations in various industries, in additional to several years of experience as a strategic consultant. This experience heavily informs my work in developing wellness programs for organizations. Just as importantly, it provides me with a level of familiarity with the work-related challenges my clients may face, and strategies to optimize their professional wellness. Having worn the shoes of the full-time employee (which have occasionally pinched like crazy), I have a deep understanding and even deeper passion for nurturing self-care and balance both in the workplace and at home.

On a Personal Level

I love coaching, and have enjoyed all of the jobs and professions that have led me to this point. My most favorite roles, though, and the ones most important to me, are those of wife and mom. You may occasionally see my son “Scooter” featured on the occasional insta post or vlog (he’s kind of a ham), and you’ll surely see him mentioned frequently in Will Daniel Wellness articles. He is simply incredible, and a daily inspiration to me. My husband, who still needs to select his code name, is a 24-year Army veteran, retired businessman, stay-at-home dad, and currently willing subject to my guided meditation run-throughs. He has inspired me in many ways, and his perspectives have helped me significantly to broaden my understanding as a coach.

Thanks for listening. I hope to be able to work with you soon.

Be well,

Stacy
